Flowers and cane sellers took over the pavement at Dhanawantri Rd. on the eve of Sankranthi festival.

Tiger’s mosque

I am not sure  if prayers are offered at this mosque at  Srirangapatna,  which has historical significance.   Tipu Sultan,  hailed as the Tiger of Mysore, prayed here.  He  is  buried not far from this mosque.

Goes widely unread

Spotted this signpost smack in front of the Mysore   Lokauykt office and Nyaya Niwas‘, guest house for high court judges, at a  Dewan’s Rd. traffic crossing.  Corruption  is an issue that wouldn’t go away.  As blogger Bijoy writes, ‘What would we do without it ?

What with cricket becoming an industry,  and its high ticket practitioners  being auctioned like  prized  bull , some of these youngsters at the Maharaja’s College grounds can’t be faulted for believing their future is  not in  class-rooms but in college playfields.

Out of darkness

The Maharaja’s College campus slips out of darkness of  the night before as the sun rises over Mysore.
